Alex Gibson’s story is nothing short of remarkable.
A first class honours degree in Chemistry from Loughborough University; a Masters in Forensic Science from Kings College, London; a fully qualified nutritionist and personal trainer; many years playing National 1 rugby; and a GB Decathlete at the age of 24.
Then, the devastating news at being diagnosed with a terminal illness at the age of 39.
With incredible fortitude and determination, he has since gone on to set up his charity Challenging MND, and completed amazing challenges raising over £500,000.
